Mission
Kaʻimiloa Elementary School is dedicated to empowering, nurturing, and inspiring our students. Our mission is to create a community of learners who engage in critical thinking to succeed through the challenges of school and life in order to become productive citizens.
Vision
Our Curriculum needs to:
- address the needs of all learners.
- be standards-based, engaging, relevant, and rigorous.
- be horizontally (mapped and paced for the school year) and vertically aligned.
Our Instruction needs to:
- focus on developing the Visible Learner.
- employ instructional strategies that provide opportunities for students to read, write, and speak in the lesson.
- be differentiated to address the needs of all students.
Our Assessments need to:
- be used to drive instructional decisions.
- align to standards-based learning targets and success criteria.
- be utilized by students to know their next steps (where to next).
Our Environment needs to:
- build and foster positive relationships with all school community members.
- cultivate a student-centered culture.
- embrace Kaʻimiloa’s MTSS expectations.
