A+ Program

Ka`imiloa seeks to empower our students with the tools, resources, and dispositions needed to be successful in and outside of the classroom.  We strive to continue the learning of all students by providing an afterschool program (A Plus), staffed by school employees, to supervise any Kindergarten through Grade 6 students whose parent(s) are currently working, attending school, or are in job training programs.

The A+ Program offers afterschool enrichment activities and care aiming to increase student achievement and engagement.  The A+ Program has a strict 20:1 student to staff ratio.

We are currently seeking workers for substitute group leader or group aide positions.  As of January 20, 2015, our program is waiting for three employees to be cleared and verified to work, giving us a full staff.

Who is eligible to apply for A+:

  • Parent(s) are either employed, in job-training, or attending school full time, during program hours

Helpful Reminders:

  • $120 (Effective July 1, 2018) per child, or free subsidized care for qualifying families** (see Parent Handbook and Registration form)

  • Monthly tuition is due on the FIRST of every month; or the first school day of the new month if the 1st falls on a weekend

  • A late fee of $5 per day per child for any payments received after the 1st of each month

  • A child may be terminated from A+ if payments and pick up are consistently late; or problematic behavior is consistent

  • Program Hours are Monday through Friday (when school is in session), 2:00pm to 5:30pm; 12:20pm to 5:30pm on Wednesdays
